ABOUT CAYLIE MINDLING

I'm a senior Creative Writing and Graphic Design/Digital Arts degree at Malone University and I love to be creative.  I started as a nursing degree and while I loved the material, it just didn't feel like a good fit for me so I jumped onto the Creative Writing troupe and that gave me the confidence to also pursue what I've always
loved: art.  I take pictures because I can't help but want to capture the exquisite beauty that surrounds us--from buildings to trees to people.  Photography gives me that unique niche to capture the beauty, but also the moment, the emotions, the life.

I started Caylie Mindling Photography becuase I was asked to take a friend's senior portraits and I had been wanting to do something with my photography for a while.  I was a freshman in college and had absolutley no experience starting a business.  Through the grace of God, I did not completely fail, though I did have some tough times, and I am still alive and running--er, shooting, today.  I love that I get to share my passion with people and that I get to do what I love for a job.  It is truly a dream come true.
